The T’ang Dynasty, undoubtedly ancient China’s most magnificent period, was a time of enlightenment and prosperity which lasted from 618 to 907 A.D. The Chinese empire was extended to the Caspian Sea. Literature, fine arts and learning were advanced and nourished. Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity flourished under imperial patronage.
