Paleontologists suggest the Titanosaur, a giant herbivore, weighed around 70 tons. The species lived in the forest of today's Patagonia about 95 to 100 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period. The Titanosaur is one of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered. The Titanosaur on display in the Museum measures 122 feet in length. It's so its head extends outside its new home in the Museum's fourth-floor gallery.Â
