Tyrannosaurus was a huge, fierce, meat-eating dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period, about 65 to 85 million years ago. Its name means "tyrant lizard king". It is considered one of the largest land carnivores of all time. T.rex lived in forests, near its prey of large, plant-eating dinosaurs.
