Its massive jaws housed more than 50 teeth, some of which were 12 inches long. The teeth were thick and serrated, and the powerful bite of T. rex could deliver 3000 pounds of chomping force. Using its binocular vision, strong sense of smell, powerful legs, and long tail for balance, T. rex keenly hunted its prey with a stride covering nearly 15 feet.
