Chinese Picture Jasper

This stone has been called "Chinese Painting Stone," or "Chinese Picture Jasper," but are technically dendritic siltstones found in the mountains of China. The patterns and colors in this stone are naturally embedded in the rock during their formation thousands or millions of years ago. Many say they resemble Chinese paintings, however it is the reverse, Chinese paintings imitate the beauty found in these stones.
