Poison dart frog is the common name for a group of frogs native to tropical Central and South America. They have beautiful brightly colored bodies in fascinating color combinations. The bright coloration is correlated with the toxicity of the species. Some species exhibit extremely bright coloration along with high toxicity, while others have bright colors but minimal to no amount of toxicity. The frog's poison is found in their skin so look but do not touch.
